Melissa strives to aid each guest in a holistic manner with their muscular, skincare, and relaxation needs in a clean, safe, environment while giving them the educational information and tools to practice self-care at home. She is passionate about helping her clients provide themselves with a relaxed, pain-free body and mind as well as healthy, glowing skin they will love with confidence.
In 2010 Melissa came to realize she was destined for a new career and lifestyle. As a busy mom of three small children who had recently laid her Dad to rest after caring for him through a long illness, she came to terms it was time to return to work in a career that helped people on their journey of healing. As she cared for her father before his passing, he repeatedly told her "You need a job where you help people....just not a nurse". While searching her heart for the career the she would love, her Dad's words would always be present.
Melissa came across information for SpaTech Institute. At the time, Melissa struggled with eczema so she thought a career in Aesthetics would be perfect! She could learn how to holistically heal her eczema and have a career helping others with skin issues as well! She graduated from SpaTech Institute for Aesthetics in February of 2011. That following May, she found her dream job at Rejuvenations Salon and Day Spa in Plymouth, MA. where she stayed for 11 years. During that time she continued to nurture and grow her skills and further her education through workshops and classes learning more advanced techniques in skincare.
Returning to SpaTech Institute in 2015 for Massage Therapy and graduating in 2016 she fell in love with another way to help people on their healing journey. Shortly thereafter Melissa attended the Oncology Massage Therapy: Caring for Clients with Cancer continuing education course with Tracy Walton and Associates. This 32 hour workshop was found to be the beginning of Melissa's true calling. Helping people to feel better while facing cancer.
While continuing to love her position at Rejuvenations, she reached out to a non-profit organization called Cape Wellness Collaborative, and on her days off from the spa, she worked through them finding people living on Cape Cod who were facing cancer who required a massage therapist to come to their home. After 11 years at the spa, and 10 years living on Cape Cod, Melissa has parted ways from her family at Rejuvenations in Plymouth to get more involved with her community and be more available for clients of Cape Wellness Collaborative. Melissa is offering oncology massages and oncology skincare at her studio bLiss in Osterville.
Melissa does specialize in oncology and medically challenged treatments, but her successful career over the last 11 years at Rejuvenations allows her to continue to offer expert massage and skincare services for all clients.
